B-Boy Battles: GOTHAM CITY.

In Random on November 18, 2009 at 2:21 am

Being a part of the “YouTube Generation” like Michael Jackson and the Pepsi Generation before us, we all are rabid fans of over-the-top craziness to come from the deep realms of the internet, and one day, we (and over 1 million viewers) just so stumbled upon the greatest thing to surface.

What I have so graciously dubbed as the “Gotham City B-Boys” is one of the most original, mind-blowingly awesome sets of videos to appear on YouTube. And without further ado, I present the Dark Knight and his greatest foe facing off …

In the past decade, Google has launched itself into its celestial status, beckoning other websites to dare follow. Ironically enough, pretty much only one has: Yahoo!

Sasha Grey is like Megan Fox (just hotter and classier).

In Movie News, Random on May 24, 2009 at 1:59 am

For those who aren’t into porn as much as we are (we’ll get back to that in a second) — c’mon, we are men here at Shaft Inferno — you will probably only know the name Megan Fox for she’s currently staring in the Transformers franchise alongside Shia LeBeouf. Those who read up on gossip columns, weekly celebrity news, et. al, will know that Megan Fox isn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed nor the classiest restaurant on the strip, although she has shown signs of hiding a potentially catastrophic intelligence.

Sasha Grey, on the other hand, is a full blown mega pornstar. She’s been in many movies, has had sex with many men in the business (over 150 films in three years), and has shot to stardom in those years. Plus, she’s only 21.

That’s hot. Read the rest of this entry »

The fall of Hollywood, J.K. Rowling’s a whore, and The Expendables.

In Articles, Random on May 16, 2009 at 11:03 pm

For anybody who is anybody — you, yes you, sitting behind that computer monitor — we should all definitely know about the recent fall of Hollywood. We’ve been subjugated to years worth of attacks on remakes, craptastic films with bad scripting, acting and directing in which we turn off the movie fifteen minutes in, among others. We, the audience/avid movie lovers/goers/others, are appalled at this atrocity that they are bestowing upon us. Here’s what we mean. Read the rest of this entry »

Nazis in Space!

In Hollywood News on May 15, 2009 at 5:56 am

No, it’s not another Lonely Island song/SNL Digital Skit. It’s a real, legitimate movie called Iron Sky. Are you ready for this? You should be.

In 1945, the Nazis went into space.
In 2018, they’re coming back.

Just watch the trailer below.

We’re not sure whether it’s amazing or just plain ridiculous. You decide.

An Inconvient Essay About Captain Planet.

In Essays on May 13, 2009 at 1:08 am

Growing up in the ’80s, I was a dedicated child to many, many animated television series. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Jem, Transformers, GI Joe; all were great, and all fascinated children nationwide. Weekdays, after school, we’d merrily run home to toss our backpacks/homework aside and sit in front of the boob tube to catch up on what we missed; or if we were lucky, our Saturday mornings would be filled with hours of glorious television and breakfast cereal that set standards for years to come.

Looking back on animation in the ’80s, we sometimes scoff and turn our heads, then ring in the future of present-day animated t.v. shows. But, one classic show that still gains attention and garners constant criticism is Captain Planet and the Planeteers. Read the rest of this entry »

Spring Awakening.

In Hollywood News on April 17, 2009 at 10:29 pm

Hollywood has once again failed us. A few years ago Broadway saw the release of an … interesting, if not absurd, musical called Spring Awakening. It centers of a group of teenagers in late-19th century Austria/Germany who are discovering their sexuality. Now, sounds interesting, except it’s very contemporary. They toss about fuck like it’s a household name, which we’re pretty positive it wasn’t at that time — for example, one musical number is entitled “Totally Fucked.”

Sorry, we digress.

In a recent buy, Hollywood — more specifically Wonderland Sound and Vision (production company behind The OC, Supernatural, and Chuck) for those who don’t know it’s helmed by Joseph “McG” McGinty Nichol — the director of the upcoming Terminator Salvation movie. Personally, we find it to a very interesting choice and could potentially work, but we’re absolutely confused as to how this will appeal to anybody besides the artsy social groups.

Lombardi Street.

In Lombardi Street, News on April 11, 2009 at 1:36 am

At the beginning of the year I joined a growing community (thanks to an ad on craigslist) for a new experimental and revolutionary television/web idea. This is Lombardi Street. Ever since then, we’ve been actively participating, trying to make everything run smoother and overall achieve a better feel for what will happen later this year.

The biggest question we get is “What is Lombardi Street?” The answer unfortunately is not easy. Lombardi Street is a new weekly series that begins airing in September 2009. But that is only one part of the project. It also encompass social networking (the Micro-Net), virtual worlds and more……

Like the previous statement said, it’s not exactly easy to explain. Read the rest of this entry »
